UTM Release 5.2.0: Endian Now Includes Bitdefender

Endian presents a new major feature release of its UTM platform. In the new UTM version 5.2.0, Endian offers an even more advanced security level by integrating Bitdefender's antivirus engine. Additionally, with user interface and high availability improvements, Endian continues to meet the needs of its customers.

While much has changed in this new era in terms of remote work and digitization, the need for simple and effective cybersecurity solutions remains and is in fact growing with the more distributed workforce. Endian offers Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances for all company network sizes to build a strong barrier against internal and external threats. Today the South Tyrolean security company presents a new release:

    Additional new features in Endian UTM 5.2.0

    • Web interface: The overall performance of the user interface is optimized - thanks to higher scalability and support for even larger multi-user environments offering a 50 percent increase in response time to web interface requests.
    • High Availability Module (HA): Starting with the new release, it is possible to connect two Endian devices to provide hardware redundancy. The improvements include the extension of the HA notification services and the synchronization of the Endian services and their corresponding status.
    • Endian also announces a new schedule for future Endian UTM versions: Starting with Endian UTM 5.2.0, we will introduce rolling releases to provide new features more frequently and at shorter intervals.
